Battery only zero emission charging solution

Solution Information

Below is an example of a hybrid power solution combining one of our 45kVA 75kWh battery systems with a small 13a single phase grid connection.

Here we can use the 13a single phase connection to deliver a 22kW three phase charge to a vehicle. The small grid connection maintains a constant feed of approx 3kW into the battery at all times whilst the battery and inverters within our solution deliver a 22kW charge to a vehicle.

Of course we are restricted with the amount of vehicles we could charge within a given time frame but the solution would be sized accordingly to deliver the clients requirements. The battery could also be used as an independent source of power and doesn’t require a grid connection to charge an EV but of course once our battery is flat it would require re-charging. This application could be considered for a short term event or vehicle launch for example.

Another solution is to use the battery as a 3 phase power source connected to the EV chargers to allow them to be tested before the grid connection is brought to site. Often grid connections are delayed or have a long lead times so this solution allows the installation and testing of the chargers to go ahead meaning when the grid supply is finally installed everything is working very quickly.
