Day/Night Split Distribution Hybrid Power Solution
Below is an example of a hybrid power solution combining a 100kVa diesel generator with one of our 45kVa 60kWh battery storage systems. In this example we are using the generator to power the site every day between 7am -7pm. The battery takes over from the generator outside of these times delivering a 50% reduction in generator run time but maintaining a reliable, constant and silent power supply to site.
As you can see the battery system is connected to the main site distribution board which feeds all the non essential loads. We control the power to this distribution board turning it off at 7pm once everyone has left site. The essential loads such as the drying rooms and CCTV cameras are wired directly to the battery maintaining a constant power supply to them overnight. This automated control allows a much larger site to take advantage of a hybrid power solution, still delivering a large reduction in generator runtime.
